StressPly SA FR Mineral is a mineral-surfaced, SBS (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene), dual fiberglass and polyester reinforced, self-adhering, modified membrane. StressPly SA FR Mineral incorporates the latest in asphalt adhesive technology. StressPly SA FR Mineral is self-contained, eliminating the need for a torch, cold adhesives or hot asphalt. Position the membrane, remove the release backing, and press into place. StressPly SA FR Mineral is the top ply of a multi-ply roof system consisting of self-adhering base sheet underlayments, and the mineral surfaced self-adhering membrane. The self-adhering roof system eliminates odors from solvents in cold adhesives, fumes from asphalt kettles, and open flames from torch systems.

Method	Description
Self-Adhered	Starting at the low point of the roof, unroll the self-adhering base sheets in the desired position. Fold the membrane lengthwise back onto itself, remove the split back release film from the exposed side, and gradually push the membrane into place. Apply even pressure along the entire length of the membrane from center outer edges to avoid air pockets. Repeat for the other side. Firmly apply pressure with a suitable weighted roller to ensure 100% adhesion. The cap sheets are installed in shingle fashion throughout the prepared substrate. End laps and any area in which the StressPly SA FR Mineral comes in contact with a mineral surface requires the use of an Garland approved mastic. NOTE: StressPly SA FR Mineral rolls are individually boxed. Store rolls in these closed containers until ready for installation. Apply when the ambient air temperature, roll temperature and substrate temperature are all 50°F (10°C) or above. Application in cool temperatures will negatively affect adhesion. NOTE: Black-Knight®/Black-Stallion® Cold or solvent-based coal tar adhesives cannot be used as a flood coat over the StressPly SA system.
